Fabulous Fall Reads. . .

Hello fellow Bloggers!

Today is my first "official" blog post, and I thought what better way to get things started then to post about one of my great loves - reading! I have quite a long list of "To Reads" for the upcoming months, and it seems that every day I come across a new title or author that I add to the pile. My current list has some oldies (like Julie Powell's Cleaving, her sequel to Julie & Julia) and some newbies (like the raved about The Help by Kathryn Stockett).

I spent a wonderful rainy morning this Saturday finishing up my latest guilty pleasure: Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin. The book tells the story of a young attorney living and working in Manhattan, who, after a rowdy 30th birthday party, ends up in bed with her best friend's fiancĂ©. Always one to take the moral high-road, she is determined to put the one-night-stand behind her and move on, until she realizes that her heart is telling her otherwise. I was skeptical to begin reading the book that stems from something I consider my worst nightmare, as I am sure is the case with EVERY woman out there, but my room-mate (recently engaged, might I add) convinced me that it was a terrific story and I would love it. I found that I couldn't put it down, and wanted it to go on forever! I am a hopeless romantic, and this non-traditional story of romance hit the spot!

Here are the next few on my list:

What are YOU reading this fall?

I'm a big Jodi Picoult fan and just started reading "Plain Truth". It will probably take me the entire fall season to read it because I'm busy with my 1 year old twins, but I will finish it nevertheless! :)

Stopping by from Life of Meg's Mingle Monday!

Hello honey!! From mingle Monday this is Chetreanna paying you a visit. BTW i just became a follower as well. Your blog is quite adorable and I love love love meeting other believers on here! It is so encouraging to have other sisters in Christ running the good race to heaven. AMen!

I am currently in the FRANCINE RIVERS section after breaking up with my ex and struggling I had a sister tell me FRANCINE kept her alive in the hard part. lol So I read REDEEMING LOVE and could not put it down nor live without in every hour until I finished it! haha

Then I went to read The Scarlett Thread which was JUST AS amazing as Redeeming Love if not a smidge better with all of the modern additions.

Now I am currently trying to wrap up Her Mothers Hope, which has proved difficult with School starting in the middle of the book :(. Nonetheless whenever I have spare time I am over at the bookstore getting in as much as I can.

Being a hopeless ROmantic myself I highly, highly recommend REDEEMING LOVE and THE SCARLETT THREAD. I struggle with the words to explain WHY every woman will love this but I know that you will be extremely blessed and fall in LOVE with both!! or your money back ;). Lol

thanks for sharing and reading my mini novel of a comment!! Have a blessed monday!!
